Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!

Boutique, that is!

Taylor was really looking forward to her visit to the Biddibi Bobbidi Boutique at the Magic Kindom! Fairy Godmothers In Training transform little girls from ordinary into royalty! Taylor chose Ariel (with legs), and the Fairytale Princess hairstyle. The Boutique is located inside of Cinderella's Castle, in the heart of the Happiest Place on Earth. I think this is quite fitting, as, for a little girl, it is most definitely the happiest place!

Here is regular, everyday fabulous Taylor, before her transformation:

After choosing the Princess outfit and hairstyle, Taylor was whisked off to change into her gown! Her Fairy Godmother in Training then began on her hair and another began on her nails and makeup!

Here's a slideshow of the transformation:

Not to be left out, Trace got a "Cool Dude" hairstyle! Here is a slideshow of his process!

Around the Lodge

This year for our Disney trip, we splurged and stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I normally book the All-Star Movies Resort, but thought we'd give the AKL a try. I am really glad we did. It was a wonderful resort, and the room was much nicer than the All-Star rooms - very nice bathroom area, bunk beds for the kiddos, very nice comfy mattress for me. Also, the deluxe resorts are all under one roof, more or less, allowing inside access to the restaurants, shops, and rooms - with all the rain and cold, that made a huge difference - and the theming of the resorts is amazing - pictures, artifacts, stories, just amazing! The deluxe resorts also offer kids' activities througout the day - arts and crafts, legos, games, educational activities - at the AKL these included Flamingo/Pelican feeding, animal tracking, habitats, etc. With all the rain, we spent most mornings at the kids' activities around the hotel. Trace loved the Flamingo/Pelican feeding activity, where using combs and confetti, the kids learned how the flamingos eat - by sifting shrimp from the bottom! They also had little pouches that the kids used to catch fish like pelicans.

The other really nice thing about AKL, since we spent SO much time at the hotel, is, of course, the animals. We had a savannah view room, so we could watch the animals from our room. Disney does a great job feeding the animals and making sure that the treats and food draw the animals out where they can be seen. Zebras, ankole cattle, several types of gazelles, reticulated giraffe, red river hogs, and pelicans/birds were all on our savannah. Here is a slideshow of a few of the animal pictures we took from our room and around the hotel!

Chillin' with the Mazur's!!

While we were at Disney, the Mazur's came over and spent the afternoon with us - we had met them last year at Disney as well, so we were excited to see them again! Taylor was SUPER excited to see Laynie, they get along soooo well, and Trace had fun playing with Riley and Peyton - although he asked me why Peyton couldn't be a boy to play trucks with him :) He'll change his mind soon enough about that!

Yeah, that Chillin' is kinda literal - it was freezing for FL with horrible wind - like in the 40s with the wind chill figured in! We just ate lunch and hung around the resort with the crappy weather, but still had a great visit - can't wait to see them next time - or hopefully before if we can figure out Nationals!
