OpEn WiDe!!!!

Taylor and Trace went to the dentist yesterday, and my wonderful mother volunteered to take them!  I was a little worried about Trace, he had never been to the dentist, and lets just say that brushing his teeth could be considered aerobic exercise for me!  Picture Trace in a headlock, squirming, kicking his feet, screaming, biting the toothbrush, all while I try to clean up those pearly whites!  Taylor went to the dentist for the first time last fall, and she LOVED it (weird, huh?)!  I sent the camera with my mom and wished her luck…

Yes, that’s right, both the children were angels!  Both of them got their teeth cleaned, fluoride treatments, and examined, and Taylor also got Xrays.  Dr. Momen said that their teeth looked great, no signs of cavities!  For being such great patients, each kid got a lizard, sticker, and toothbrush!  We’ll see you in December, Dr. Momen!

  2. So cute! And, I love Trace's hair! Your description of brushing his teeth sounds like our household. Parker wants to do it himself, which is really just chewing on the toothbrush for a while. :-)

  3. Yay for no cavaties and the kiddos being so good. At first I thought they each got lizards and I was like WHAT?! Then I read the next line and realized they got stickers, lizard stickers!

  4. Love, love, love Trace's hair! Such a little stud! :o) My girls love the dentist too. If they're opening a package or something with their teeth I just say "Do you want the dentist to be mad that you broke your teeth?" and they usually stop. Bizarre. Did your dentist really give the kids lizards? I don't know if I'd take them back to that one....

  5. They weren't real lizards, just the little rubbery lizard toys!

  9. Oh you lucky duck! Ruger nearly lost his mind when we went to the dentist. They didn't even clean them because he was freaking out so bad. What great kids you have! Trace looks so cute with his toothbrush and Miss Taylor...xrays and all? Way to go!

  10. Yay for an all around good dentist visit! Can't help but laugh at your workout to brush Trace's teeth because I went through this for a few days with Simon recently! Love Trace's hair!

  11. Wow your mom is a brave lady! I have to make an appointment-it is time to take Preston. As we were saying on facebook, Preston's brushing alone consists of sucking off the toothpaste and running the brush under water to suck the water. So we make deals-in the morning I do it quick and he can brush, at night mommy gets a good cleaning and then he finishes up. So far so good. I cannot believe Taylor likes the dentist. I hate it so much. I love Trace's hair! Adorable! I also don't know how I missed you last post about the Slip n' Slide. Brings back memories.
